a)Fasihi andishi
b)Fasihi simulizi.

Vitabu hivi husaidia kupitisha mila kwenye binadamu.

JUSTICE MUST BE SEEN TO BE DONE

Jalia meona, mwajifanya wokovu,

Utu hamna, kwetu sisi ni hofu,

W’enda mchana, kutenda machafu,

Hela mwapata, kupita kiasi.

Adhuhuri mwaja , kupanga uongo,

Sisi twaomba, mtumie ubongo,

Wengi waumia, kwa kukosa jirongo,

Hela mwapata, kupita kiasi.

Mwaweka mjadala, ngwenje iongezwe,

Tayari, mesikia mola, mwajua wenyewe,

Zetu nyie mwapora, nani tumwangalie,

Hela mwapata, kupita kiasi.

Letu ni njaa, lenu ni shibe,

Mahindi yaja, m’sema itupwe,

Ninyi mwataka, wapi tuelekee,

Hela mwapata, kupita kiasi.

Twaomba Jalali, sisi atujalie,

Mwengine ni nani, ama tutulie,

Lakini mie najali, mfahamu nyie,

Hela mwapata, kupita kiasi.

The Deal

As i was tackling my class assignment in the course of last weekend, John, a friend of mine called. Unfortunately, my phone which had battery issues went off. However, i was not aware why he called on that specific day as he was there before sending "please call me" texts. I presumed that he had something serious he wanted to share with me. Since he was far from the institution compound, i urged my fellow classmate, Jane to assist me with her mobile phone which was believed to be the most expensive over all in our class.

At the moment i called back, i heard a background noise which i assumed was from the passing away vehicles and motorcycles at Nyeri town. John told me to meet him at Batian hall situated along Gakere road in Nyeri town for he had an issue he wanted us two to embark upon. The institution is located as far as 3km from the town therefore i had to board a vehicle for i wanted to be at the place on time.

Unfortunately, i did not have some money for the journey. I had only 10,000 shillings on my M-pesa account which was meant for school fees. I informed him of the disaster but he insisted that it was a serious issue which required my attention. I had nothing to do but to request Jane to lend me some money of which i would refund back. As she knew that our school was situated in a rural area where coming over even a single M-pesa agent was a mystery, she decided to lend me with conditions that i should refund immediately after coming back.

I had to leave with her phone which latter helped me trace John. I boarded the matatu which dropped me at the place. I called John where he asked me wait for him 10-15 minutes. I explained to him what i had done to make sure that i was there exactly at the time we had set.

He told me first to take a glass of milk which he had bought at the nearest cafe there after we may leave to accomplish 'our mission' which i never understood at that present time.

As we were taking our milk, he received a call and and said " chawa netuku Riakahu" which i came to realize was " wacha tukutane Kahuria" (lets meet at Kahuria). After the call, we were in a hurry to leave for the deal.

" Let me first withdraw cash from this M-pesa agent because we will not get another chance to come back to the town," i told him.
That was the time his dullness became happiness may be because the trap had already caught the bait.

Few strides after arriving at Kahuria, three armed gunmen arrived from nowhere and slapped John. I was confused as i had the school fees and the most expensive phone in school. The slap made him escape leaving me on the harsh scene.

" Toa kila kitu ulichonacho na uondoke mara moja" (take out everything you have and leave immediately), one of them said. They took everything i had including the phone which i did not even know the cost.

The place where i would get the fees and the money to buy another mobile phone were all unrecognized mysteries.
